depicts General Franz Sigel's engagement with the Confederate force commanded by General "Stonewall" Jackson. The engagement started at 7 a.m. and continued throughout the day. Sigel's forces also held off General Longstreet's attack the following day, but Second Bull Run is seen as the only major battle where Sigel's performance merited praise.
